Media Star Promotions is seeking energetic individuals to execute promotions for nicotine products within nightlife and retail establishments in the greater metro area. This part time position is ideal for outgoing men and women who are looking for an interesting, challenging position within the nightlife and retail scene that will allow them to make good money and have fun.

Position Requirements:

  • MUST be at least 21 years old.

  • MUST have prior promotional experience, excellent verbal and people skills.

  • MUST keep a clean, neat appearance.

  • MUST be comfortable standing for extended periods of time.

  • MUST have availability to work 20-29 hours over 4-7 days/nights per week. Open availability preferred.

  • MUST have reliable transportation to commute to multiple locations within a shift.

  • Bilingual, Spanish/English candidates encouraged to apply.

Human Resources Manager

Media Star Promotions, a leading Baltimore-based experiential marketing company with Fortune 500 clients and offices throughout the U.S. is seeking a Manager of Human Resources and Compliance to lead our Human Resources Department and ensure compliance of our business operations. This is a great opportunity for an experienced candidate to lead a team of HR Generalists and Recruiters to facilitate employee relations, ensure compliance in our operations, maintain staffing levels, administer pay and benefits and enforce company policies

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day direction for all aspects of human resources

  • Oversee employee relations, including disciplinary meetings, investigations and terminations

  • Oversee the management and execution of all employee benefits and payroll

  • Monitor and ensure the organization's compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations

  • Maintain appropriate and current business licenses for all jurisdictions

  • Oversee the maintenance of the human resources database, employee files and records

  • Oversee new hire recruitment and onboarding

  • Oversee revisions or updates to the company's Employee Handbook as necessary

  • Prepare human resources reports by assembling and compiling data

  • Maintain employee confidence and protect operations by keeping personnel data confidential

  • Respond to telephone or written verifications of employment and other requests for information

  • Stay current by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications

Skills/Qualifications

  • Candidates must be 21 years of age or older

  • MS Office- especially Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel

  • Strong understanding of employment law

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Required experience 8+ years

  • Required education- some college coursework completed

This is a 100% in-person position in our Hunt Valley, MD office. Regular office hours are Monday – Friday, 10AM – 6PM.

A pre-hire background check and drug screening is required.

Human Resources Generalist

Media Star Promotions, a leading Baltimore-based experiential marketing company with Fortune 500 clients and offices throughout the U.S. is seeking an experienced HR Generalist. This position will lead our recruiting efforts nationwide along with supporting the daily operations of the HR department. It is important to work effectively as an individual, while functioning well in a team environment

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for full cycle recruiting, placing job ads, conducts telephone and virtual interviews, Scheduling in person interviews.

  • Create and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates

  • Maintain human resources records by entering, updating and retrieving personnel data

  • Maintain employee confidence by protecting company data and keeping personnel data confidential

  • Responsible for employee disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations.

  • Prepare human resources reports by assembling and compiling data

  • Provide information by responding to telephone or written verifications of employment and other requests for information; answering questions and requests

  • Comply with federal, state, and local requirements by following policies and procedures.

  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications

  • Contribute to team effort by assisting in HR related tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • Candidates must be 21 years of age or older

  • Must be experienced using pre-hire testing methods, interpreting background reports and drug screening procedures.

  • Windows 10 / MS Office, Data Entry Skills

  • Must have superior written communication and verbal communication skills

  • Must have working knowledge of employment law

  • Must be thorough, productive, highly detail oriented and well organized

  • 2+ years of recruiting experience

This is a full time, 100% in person position at our Hunt Valley, MD headquarters.
